               Indian Health Care Clinic
Southern Union Native Ministries operates a free health clinic in Lumberton North Carolina. The clinic was opened in March 2004 serving the Native American population of Southeastern North Carolina and North Eastern South Carolina. Dr. Carville Tolson, a licensed NC physician works three days each week at the clinic. Our patients are screened and we only see uninsured/low-income patients. Presently we are serving approximately 750 patients. If you would like to be involved with this mission work contact us at, indianhealthcare@msn.com, or call 336-414-5185.

Carville Tolson, M.D., has practiced in   North Carolina for more than 20 years and also ”down under” in New Zealand and Australia for three years. He grew up in the farming area of the eastern shore of Maryland, attended high school in Virginia, and received his medical training at Loma Linda University in California.
While practicing medicine he became aware of the need for health education. When people learn to take care of their bodies, they recover their health and avoid many common ailments. During the past 14 years, he has routinely emphasized the importance of a proper diet and regular exercise. In a very practical way, he has demonstrated that this provides more energy and better health for his patients and for himself.

In the clinic much attention is given to assessing lifestyle factors and relating these to specific health problems. With an underlying belief in a gracious and wise Creator, Dr. Tolson uses simple methods of treatment wherever possible.
