After attending an Evangelistic Programs meeting in January (organized by Native Ministries) at the NAD Ministries Convention in Myrtle Beach, Pastor Robert Williams invited North American Division Outreach Evangelism Training Director Elder Bruce Wilkinson to share Native ministry projects with three of his five churches. Pastor Williams, a 30-year veteran of the Pennsylvania Conference and Director of the Ministerial District for Western Pennsylvania, believed the Native outreach projects such as Project: Win-a-Friend and Ruthie Jacobson’s Bridges 101 could spark the interest of door-to-door ministry in his churches.

In April, Elder Wilkinson and Pastor Williams traveled together from church to church in the Western PA area and shared encouraging outreach instruction. Elder Wilkinson distributed Bridges 101 books to the attending church members. Even though the training videos weren’t able to be presented, he encouraged everybody to view the videos online at www.NativeMinistries.com, Native Ministries’ website. He advised that the books, videos, and presentations can be used as powerful tools to motivate shy church members to participate in Native outreach.

It’s not over! Plans have been made to present the Native Ministries’ training project to the West Pennsylvania Conference Ministerial Association soon.
