New York Conference: Teamwork
.
Wonderful experiences await those who follow the counsels of the Lord! Our Native American church district of the New York Conference launched a Bible based project following the blueprint proscribed in scripture. Brother Ben Bernard joined the Native team as a bible Worker eager to make a difference for God. Leading the Oneida Native church in systematic outreach preceding an evangelistic effort at the Oneida church, Ben and church members handed out books and advertisements door-to-door in the local community.

Two weeks afterward Pastor Bruce Wilkinson received a phone call from a lady wishing to pay for the book left on her door. He explained it was not necessary to pay for the book, however, she was welcomed to attend church and place a donation in the offering plate. Denise Skinner did attend church that week. Through Bible studies, warm fellowship and prayer she made her decision to follow the Creator's invitation when He said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.(Rev 3:20)" Brother Ben and Oneida church members witnessed Pastor Bruce baptize Denise April 14, 2007 (along with four other people who had been visited door-to-door), the result of teamwork designed by God.
